The Mogiana region, where this offering comes from, is a wonderful example of multi-generational stewardship. Many of the large family plantations, some 5 generations old, have built schools and nurtured communities.. It is a forward looking growing region agriculturally because many of the original growers became advocates for the Rainforest Alliance.
The Mogiana Brazilian is well described as notes of "hazelnut/walnut, cocoa, and dried fruit." I was stuck that one source noted the dried fruit as raisin, which I couldn't disagree with, but when I opened the bag, the green beans hit me with a strong aroma of bitter cherries. Pretty nice, excited to be working with it.
What about the Sumatran Decaf? Don't worry, it will be back as soon as we can get it again. It's one of the cornerstones of our business, and its a keeper.
